WPA welcomes $200MM Partner from Merrill Lynch

DALLAS, Texas ‐ ‐ Wealth Partners Alliance welcomes partner team from Merrill Lynch. 20-year veteran, Patrick Fontana, along with advisor Michael Dunham and registered client relationship specialist Madeleine Hall round out the group to the Dallas based office.
“I am so excited to join a great group of smart, forward thinking advisors that have a diligent focus on the client experience. The increased flexibility and control allows me to better serve my clients and deliver my vision of The Perfect Practice!” said Fontana on his decision.
Launched in 2019, by former UBS and Wells Fargo advisors, the Merrill partners, who are also CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals, brings the total number of advisors at Wealth Partners Alliance up to nine.
David McBee, Partner at Wealth Partners Alliance, sees continued growth. “It’s not surprising the feedback and interest in our story. We are attracting advisors with the opportunity to take ownership of their business while tapping into the resources of a broader partnership is transformative. This is a great advantage in the marketplace.”
Prior to the addition of Fontana, the office is responsible for more than $655 million of private client assets under management and $400 million in corporate retirement plan assets under advisement as of November of this year.
Wealth Partners Alliance was formed specifically with advisors in mind to leverage technology, resources, and strategic partnerships to deliver quality client experience and financial outcomes.
The partners want to create a better culture for advisors and clients to do business, which, they feel has eroded over time at traditional firms. This year has been challenging for advisors during the pandemic with most offices closed or restricted.
“Wealth Partners Alliance is a destination for clients and their advisors,” Partner John Saalfield concluded. “Bringing together what is most important to our families we work with is all that matters.”
“Patrick Fontana and his team embody the right kind of partner,” Partner Rick Lima said. “We have a shared vision to build something special in our industry.”
