David has worked with private clients managing thier financial planning and investment management needs for over 20 years. He works with clients on financial planning matters, investment management oversight and he assists in desigining and implimenting complex estate planning strategies.
As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) he advises Instiutional Clients on thier corporate retirement plan by evaluating plan design, analyzing investment performance, identifying plan opportunities, such as cost reduction and custom tax strategies.* Along with partner Brittany D. Smith, they deliver 401(K) management oversight, on-site participant education and they equip plan sponsots with regulatory and compliance knowledge.
David also leads business development, strategic planning, and advisor recruitment for WPA. He is passionate about educating other financial advisors interested in transitioning thier practice to an independent platform about both the opportiunites and perils of moving thier practice.
Personally, David is a past president and active member of the Texas Tech Alumni Association, Dallas chapter, and has served on the Texas Tech Rawls School of Business Advisory Counsel. He is also an elder at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. David, his wife, Meredith, and his two children, David III and Madison, live in University Park, Texas.
